Shahin Dadkhah, the former advisor of Hassan Rohani at the Supreme National Security is in critical health situation.
Despite the recognition of the Evin Prison`s clinic to take him to the hospital, the Prison authorities refuse to take him for further specialized treatments. It is said that the authorities of the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security have prevented his removal to hospital. Shahin Dadkhah is suffering from kidney failure.
This former member of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team under supervision of Hassan Rohani has been sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment from March 2010. During the period of detention he has been prohibited from meeting his family and he was informed of his father death after a long time.
Dr. Shahin Dadkhah was born in 1971. He is a political expert in middle-east affairs and graduated from the Universities of Naples in Italy and Biknet in Turkey respectively for his BA and MA degrees. He has received his PhD on international relation from Madrid University.
In addition to above mentioned responsibilities, he was also a involved in American - Iranian Negotiation Conference in Afghanistan, in tripartite negotiations of Iran, Iraq and the USA ran by Kazem Qomi, Iranian ambassador in Iraq, and collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies.
Shahin Dadkhah is fluent in Italian, Spanish, English, Turkish, Arabic and Kurdish. During his presence in the ward 350 of Evin Prison, He has taught Italian, Turkish to the other prisoners.
Dr. Shahin Dadkhah was arrested in January 2010 by the authorities of the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security charged with collaborating with adversary states. After 14 months being imprisoned in the solitary confinement of the ward 209 of Evin Prison, he was transformed to the ward 350 of Evin Prison in the last days of February 2011.
He has strictly denied the charges against and stated that he was a victim of the conflicts and opposition of the political Wings in the Islamic Repubblic of Iran.
